Boosting sales efficiency with a product information app at Cortado

The Brief

Cortado Mobile Solutions is an international enterprise mobility and mobile printing solutions provider, recently restructured into a subsidiary of Cortado AG that has over 220 employees and is located in six countries.

With a growing range of products, the product management team were excited by the idea of creating a support app for their sales team to give them easy access to all the information they needed in one place.

"Originally our sales people had to use a collection of documents or PDFs to get the information they needed or search through our knowledge base to find answers to their questions", explains Kristin Montag, Chief Product Officer at Cortado Mobile Solutions. "We hadn’t really considered using an app but when we found out about how easy Fliplet was to use it just made sense to give it a try.

The App

The initial app was created in less than a week and was designed to act as a centralized point of product information for the sales team including technical overviews and answering frequently asked questions.

The team at Cortado benefitted from the following features of the Fliplet platform:

No need for technical skills. After an initial 15-minute training session the team now create, edit and share their own apps with no reliance on internal or external development resource.

Speed of app development. The initial app took around 5 hours to create and was then ready to share internally.

Instant app updates. The product management team can now ensure that their sales people always have access to the latest up-to-date product information.

Apps available on Android and Apple smartphones and tablets. The flexibility of the app and its availability on different formats and devices means that the sales team can choose how to access it.

Integration with existing mobile security systems. It was important to the team at Cortado to control who had access to the app. They used their own enterprise mobility product Cortado Corporate Server to secure the app and ensure content and access was limited to their sales and management teams.

The Result

The app is now installed on over 50 devices and used by between 15 to 20 people on a regular basis. The product management team at Cortado can push updates to their apps anytime via Fliplet’s online web studio and can confidently share sensitive information as the app is secured by Cortado Corporate Server.
