Whats new in Fliplet Studio V2

Fliplet Studio V2 is a step change in the way you will create mobile apps. The updated studio has been built on completely new foundations, based on the very latest web and mobile technologies – allowing you to take full advantage of the mobile world.

The interface has been also simplified, with everything becoming editable within the device frame itself (rejoice! No more “Click to edit content”). The new studio interface allows any user to quickly and easily create, edit and test mobile applications. And we believe this is the best, most versatile mobile creation tool ever made.

We have also added live preview – so you can test your app without ever leaving your browser – though we do suggest using Fliplet Viewer to test properly!

Fliplet Studio V2 is still in its BETA phase – which means there will be bugs. There will also be features still to be added. So please be patient.

What we do ask is that you’re hyper sensitive to anything you think is weird, wonderful and everything in between. Anything that grabs your attention – please note it down!

Bugs, feedback (good and bad) and feature requests will help to shape Fliplet Studio! So it’s your opportunity to influence Fliplet!

No need to worry, the apps that you built in Fliplet Studio V1 will still be available to edit and update, but only in the original studio interface. You can even begin new projects in version one (we don’t know why you would though…)

Over the coming year, we will work with you to help move your apps from V1 to V2 and we hope that the lure of Version 2 will be too great to ignore.

If you want to discuss moving your apps to V2 – please drop use an email at CS@fliplet.com or contact us via live chat.

You won’t. Any new features available in Fliplet Studio V2 will be for apps build in V2 only. These features utilise the latest and greatest of mobile technology so it’d be silly to try and fit them into an old system!

In order to publish your app to an app store, you will need to have set up app store accounts. Doing so is easy and depending on your company’s needs, you will want to sign up to a combination of Apple, Google and Windows app stores. Most popular are the Apple and Google app stores however.

Note – many companies already have app store accounts therefore it is just a matter of granting Fliplet access to assist with launching your apps.

You will need to inform Fliplet that you wish to publish your app to the app stores so we can build your live app. Please let us know at least 1 week before you need the app to be sent to the app stores.

A component is an interactive tool you can add to your app. They range from buttons through to more complicated things like authentication screens.

Components are bases on Javascript and can utilised many of the mobile devices’ core functionality like the camera, speakers and others.

You can drag and drop a component into any screen to add additional functionality – they are great for creating those real ‘app like’ experiences – as Apple like to say.
